Design mechanical equipment and fabricated components used in commercial and industrial systems
Develop detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications for fabrication and production
Collaborate with project managers, fabrication teams, and field personnel to ensure equipment designs meet project requirements
Review project specifications and customer requirements to develop appropriate equipment solutions
Support fabrication and production teams during the build process to ensure designs are executed correctly
Assist with design modifications and problem-solving when production or installation challenges arise
Maintain accurate design documentation and engineering records
Ensure designs meet applicable engineering standards, safety requirements, and company quality expectations
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
Experience with mechanical design, equipment design, or industrial systems
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design platforms
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication processes, and equipment layout
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, fabrication, and field teams
Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
Ability to occasionally visit fabrication or production areas
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds when needed
Ability to work in both office and shop environments
Up to 40% travel
