The main purpose of this position is to solicit, review and qualify the most experienced drivers available to fill existing openings within our van network and dedicated operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Selling permanent and temporary Drivers on Specialized Services, TCU, Flat Bed, Intermodal, Regional, Over the Road & Network Optimization opportunities. Prospecting potential candidates occurs with outbound/inbound sales calls, emails, Driver portal and by Qualcomm.
• Communication hub includes; account owner, inside and outside recruiting, outside terminals and fleet assignments who are all points of contact that receive direction from Driver Placement Specialists as it relates to market completion.
• Solicit drivers to consider training if account specifies and coordinate approval process with Safety.
Review driving record, tickets, log violations, CSA scores, disciplinary issues, customer complaints, on-time service, home-time frequency, and then make decision on recommendations for new account opportunities or lack there of.
• Educate experienced Driver Recruiters, Student Recruiters, Field Recruiters, Terminal personnel, of the account details and needs so they too can help sell the accounts that are open.
• Maintain and update account profile and manage truck and driver goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Skill in operating a P.C., multi-line telephone, and various office equipment.
• Knowledge of new and existing Dedicated accounts and the special requirements that account mandates our drivers must have in order to qualify for pre-qualify and transfer internally.
• Knowledge of interviewing techniques and the laws that govern interviews.
• Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner when dealing with co-workers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• A minimum of high school, college or university education preferred.
• Two to three years transportation experience preferred.
• Two to three years customer service experience preferred.
• Multi-line phone, Excel, and AS-400 screen experienced preferred.
