Job Summary

The nursing technician is a member of a team dedicated to provide the highest quality care and services to our patients by assisting in such functions as maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment; assisting with dietary aspects of care, transporting patients, and assisting visitors. As an integral part of the team, the nursing technician is responsible for activities, which promote patient focused care within the patient unit.

Job Duties Include:

  • Take and record patient's height/weight, health history, and vital signs including blood pressure and blood drawing and EKG's.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
  • Prepare examination rooms
  • Sterilize equipment
  • Assist in clerical procedures but not limited to scheduling patients, answering phones
  • Performs routine tests such as urinalysis , blood sugar and hematocrit

Education and Requirements:

  • Graduate of State Certified Program
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • EKG/Phlebotomy/BLS Certification required
