About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Casualty Underwriting Associate to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in casualty underwriting, working alongside industry experts in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You will assist in evaluating risks, analyzing data, and developing a strong foundation in underwriting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist underwriters in assessing and analyzing casualty insurance applications, including liability, workers' compensation, and other casualty lines.
  • Review and evaluate underwriting information such as loss history, financial data, and exposure details.
  • Support the preparation of risk assessments, coverage recommendations, and pricing models.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and actuarial teams to gather data and insights for decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development of underwriting strategies and guidelines.
  • Assist in Managing Renewal portfolio; preparing and issuing renewal quotes for a book up to $10,000,000 in premium
  • Assist in reviewing inspections, processing endorsements, and overall account servicing
  • Perform administrative tasks such as preparing reports, maintaining records, and updating policy systems.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of insurance and underwriting principles is a plus.
