Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital, a community based hospital which is part of the Montefiore Einstein, is seeking two Full time Nursing Supervisors (12pm-8:00 pm and 2pm -10pm ) to join our team.

Job Duties include:

  • Managing effective patient flow for ED admissions and inpatient transfers, to meet Hospital throughput and maintaining patient satisfaction
  • Coordinating and evaluating staffing assignments with Unit Managers to meet appropriate patient to RN ratio for the incoming shift.
  • Troubleshooting hospital emergencies and responding to hospital and medical codes.
  • Nursing Supervisor functions as the liaison between hospital management and clinical care.
  • In coordination with interdepartmental teams the Nursing Supervisor ensures that hospital operational standards are being met
  • Reports to Senior Management and escalate pertinent events.
  • Assists patient and patient’s family members in any unresolved patient care concerns.
  • Acts as a clinical source to the healthcare team

Education and Requirements: BSN Required. Master’s degree preferred. Two years of experience on the Leadership Role
