Food Service Worker (Room Service)

Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Rotating w/e's and holidays, 7 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assemble and deliver patient trays and nourishment

• Provide the highest quality of service to patients, families, and staff at all times in the preparation and service of meals

• Perform specific duties as detailed in the following Food Services positions: Tray-line Assistant, Salad Coordinator, Storeroom Coordinator, Relief Coordinator, and Hostess

• Utilize correct food sanitation and safety techniques in work areas as established by Scottish Rite for Children and applicable authorities

Required Skills/Abilities

• High School Diploma/GED preferred

• Hospital, healthcare facility or large institutional experience preferred

• Understanding of proper food handling and sanitation procedures

• Dietary experience beneficial

• Must have excellent communication skills and experience with customer facing or patient service

• Must obtain Texas food handler's certificate within 30 days of hire
