Central Georgia Cancer CarePay Range:
$19.66 - $34.59CPC certification is required prior to hire.
High school diploma or GED is required.
A minimum of five (3) years of medical coding experience preferred.
Two (2) years of ICD & Oncology CPT Coding in designated area of expertise/oncology is preferred.
Experience with working in a healthcare field and in a clinical setting or business office.
Excellent verbal and communications skills are essential.
Procedure entry with experience in operative report extraction and coding guidelines are preferred.
Education to stay current with all CPT and ICD9/ ICD10 yearly updates is required.
AAPC Coding Certification (CPC or ROCC coding certification) including in the designated area of oncology coding is required.
Centricity experience preferred. Experience in designated oncology EMR is preferred.
