Provide high-impact support to the Regulatory Affairs team by analyzing, monitoring and synthesizing legislative activity, regulatory filings and media coverage related to Eversource or the broader energy sector Manage and optimize regulatory affairs electronic file system and database to ensure, timely, and accessible regulatory records.

Essential Functions: 

  • Monitor and report on industry trends, regulatory activities, and energy stakeholder activities that may influence regulatory proceedings

  • Research, analyze and report on emerging themes among energy stakeholders

  • Perform various functions to assist with managing large volumes of data and information

  • Manage various regulatory tracking systems/databases to maintain organization of information pertaining to all regulatory dockets

  • Perform functions to assist with Regulatory Affairs activities including tracking various compliance requirements/timelines

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Knowledge:

  • Interest in energy policy, state government, regulatory development

  • Strong technical skills with proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Demonstrated research, analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Demonstrated attention to detail

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines

  • Ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Education/Experiences:

Working toward a Bachelor's degree .

Interns are paid through our Managed Service Provider Program and are not employees of Eversource.  Payrates are hourly and based on year of graduation and if the role is technical or non-technical. Technical rates start at $18.12 freshman and up to $22.73 for a senior.
