Job Overview:

The Software Engineer II will be working with a well-formed team to develop solutions to enable and empower interaction between LPL home office users and LPL financial advisors via advisor communication channels supported by LPL. 

You will be working with a multi-functional development team with high velocity.  Activities will include development and enhancement of a single or multiple platforms. The role will require flexible thinking as the team works to integrate existing business and technology concepts with innovative design to deliver a practical and scalable platform.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test and implement technical solutions based on business requirements and strategic direction.
• Collaborate with software engineers and technology partners to implement solutions following LPL architecture guidelines.
• Participate in agile ceremonies & collaborate with peer teams, technology platform owner, product manager/owner, enterprise architecture and platform support teams to ensure delivery of production into Production.
• Work collaboratively and effectively with quality assurance engineer teams, DevOps to ensure all SDLC processes are adhered to.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, optimize and enhance existing systems.
• Utilize and build RESTful backend services.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and application integration partners.

• 2+ years of software development experience using .NET core framework.
• 1+ year of hands on experience with AWS services (EKS, Lambda, Glue)
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL
• Some hands on experience in service oriented application development
• 1+ years in an Agile environment
• Excellent understanding of SOA principles and design patterns.
• Extensive JavaScript, JSON and REST services
• Should have a good sense for Code Architecture and Design Principles.
• Experience in writing unit tests.
