Job Description

The AP Technician role is an onsite, hourly shift role responsible for deploying asset protection and safety support to their respective location and reports through the Asset Protection Department. This position is critical to ensuring the protection, safety and wellbeing of our Team Members, facilities, product and equipment. Strategies include but are not limited to: CCTV, burglar alarm, fire alarm, access control, inventory management controls, auditing and life safety checks. It is imperative that this position can partner internally to ensure site specific safety & security measures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be organized and detail oriented
• Ability to be proficient in WMS and understand all aspects of inventory movement in a DC.
• Can be proficient in PowerBi, Microsoft Excel, MS-Outlook, MSWord.
• Self-motivated, work autonomously, and be highly effective with time management skills
• Strong partnership, interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Perform assigned role with an expected level of credibility & integrity
• Have a passion for auditing, checking with high attention to detail
• Ability to learn Security and Inventory Control activities. Including but not limited to CCTV, burglar and fire alarms, safes, locks and key controls, inventory management and inventory audit measurements
• Familiar with Life Safety devices and jurisdiction requirements
• Aptitude for seeing problems, collecting data and deciphering facts

Recommended Experience/Training

• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Experience with RF scanning devices
• Office 365 suite of tools
• Work history showing good attendance and zero work function disciplinary actions
• At least 1 year working for AAP or previous work experience in a warehouse/distribution security,

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)/Home school equivalency
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Pass extensive background check
• Ability to work on various shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays as needed
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math, including add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Candidates with previous security, safety and/or warehouse exposure are preferred

• Stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk and hear
• Ability to stand for 7-8 continuous hours with limited breaks and without physical issue.
• Ability to climb ladders and navigate uneven ground
• Frequently requires stooping, kneeling and crouching
• Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance and must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and /or move up to 100 pounds
• Have specific vision abilities, which include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
