Job Description

Required Qualifications

      Basic to intermediate Python programming skills and willingness to develop research software.

      Basic knowledge of AI/ML, networking, or cybersecurity through coursework or project experience.

      Ability to learn new technical concepts, tools, and programming frameworks independently.

      Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

      Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a research team.

      Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate research records and documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities

      Assist with the development and evaluation of AI/ML methods for networking and cybersecurity applications, with a focus on UAV location integrity and awareness.

      Assist with data collection, preprocessing, analysis, visualization, and experimental evaluation.

      Implement and test software components for research experiments using Python and related tools.

      Assist with experiments involving network traffic, sensor data, embedded/edge devices, or other project-related datasets.

      Conduct literature searches and summarize relevant research papers under the guidance of the faculty supervisor.

      Maintain and document code repositories and research materials.

      Assist with preparing technical presentations, research reports, and other project documentation.

      Participate in regular meetings with the PI and research team and provide periodic progress updates.

      Perform other research-related tasks as assigned by the faculty supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications

      Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.

      Experience with deep sequence modeling, self-attention mechanisms, and temporal dynamics and irregularities.

      Prior research or project experience related to IoT security, UAV systems, or wireless networking.

      Experience with data-driven modeling, sensor data analysis, or localization and positioning systems.

      Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reports, publications, and collaborative research.
