Job Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for P&L financial analysis for assigned area of the business.
Core Duties:
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist in preparation of all budgets, forecasts and supporting analysis using Workday
- Adaptive Planning
- Headcount variances to plan and justification reporting
- Assist in preparation of support schedules, reports, presentations and other analysis for
- executive leadership, and board
- Collaborate with the Accounting team to support various close procedures
Reporting & Analysis:
- Monthly Reporting: Assist in the preparation of the Monthly Financial Report
- KPIs: Maintain cost center level KPI reporting
- Variance Analysis: Analyze variances to budgets/projections to help ensure complete
- and accurate recording of results.
- Cost Center Review: Drive meaningful conversations with business leaders through
- review of KPIs, budget variances, & hiring plans.
Secondary Functions:
- Build strong relationships across functions within the company, maintain an open
- flow of communication, and help other groups manage or scale their businesses/
- departments.
- Flexibility to support other areas of FP&A and Finance (outside of routine/defined
- deliverables).
- Broad experience with other software and financial systems is desired, such as
- NetSuite, Workday Adaptive Planning and PowerBI.
Basic Qualifications:
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree required (Finance & Accounting)
- Five (5) or more years of experience in a combination of accounting or finance roles, with a focus on reporting, planning and analysis with increasing levels of responsibility
- Five (5) or more years of experience in end-to-end budgeting and forecasting
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts
- Advanced financial modeling skills (including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement); strong Excel experience required
