Job Summary:
Core Duties:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for multiple audits and reviews throughout the year.
- Perform detailed preparation and review of workpapers.
- Assist with annual SOX compliance work.
- Aid in the preparation of all SEC filings.
- Assist in drafting monthly internal reporting.
- Learn to monitor international reporting requirements for our rapidly growing, multinational, SEC-reporting entity.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure ongoing compliance with internal controls.
- Develop training documents for departmental tasks to facilitate cross-training and improve task transitions.
- Undertake periodic special projects as they arise.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred; minimum 2 years’ progressive accounting experience or a strong desire to learn more about technical accounting.
- Previous experience in both public accounting and private industry is valued, with a focus on leading audits from the client perspective.
- Strong sense of task-ownership and curiosity to learn new skills.
- Excellent analytical, creative problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
- Experience with SOX compliance preferred but not required.
- Career progression demonstrating initiative to be an active problem solver.
- Strong accounting acumen.
- Experience with consolidated financial statements in a publicly traded company preferred.
- Strong advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Strong desire to work in a rapidly growing and complex organization.
- Positive attitude, sense of humor, and ability to reprioritize tasks quickly.
- Proven ability to excel in a team environment.
- Commitment to professionalism in all interactions.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Multi-lingual abilities are a plus.
