Job Description:

• Interprets drawings, operation manuals, wiring diagrams, electrical schematics and/or manufacturer’s specifications.
• Diagnoses problems with production machinery and equipment and determines how to correct them.  Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains all types of machines and equipment, including conveyors, presses, programmable logic controllers, and electrical/electronic circuitry. 
• Keeps machinery and equipment in efficient, safe operating condition in order to maintain quality and production standards.
• Performs total predictive maintenance and preventative maintenance to ensure machines and systems run smoothly and efficiently. 
• Schedules and performs machine teardown to make repairs and modifications.  May dismantle, move, install and erect equipment.
• Will need to operate various types of equipment related to maintenance functions, such as forklift, welders, and cutting torches.
• Promotes teamwork and contributes to team efforts by communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.  Keeps supervision informed of any problems associated with maintenance activities and takes action to provide support for resolution of problems and continuous improvement.  Aids in training employees in maintenance-related duties.
• Performs general housekeeping tasks and keeps work area clean, organized and free of scrap, debris, etc.
• Troubleshoot, and repair various types of material handling equipment, diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
