Compensation range: $57,000 - $72,000

YOU WILL BE: 

The Merchandise Assistant works within the Buying team on a variety of tasks, processes, and communication. The Merchandise Assistant primarily assists the Buying office with go-to-market preparation, tactical vendor communications, price changes, and ad hoc analysis support. The position requires frequent communication with other members of the buying team as well as with vendors, distribution centers, stores and customers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • PO Maintenance and troubleshooting (Vendor Tickets, UPC requests, order tracking)

  • Weekly reporting and recaps (e.g. Running best seller reports, assist with go-to-market prep)

  • Transcribe vendor line sheets into order buy sheets

  • Manage in-bound and out-bound receipts

  • Support the POS process by working with buyer to determine markdown strategy

  • Additional responsibilities as required

You Also Have:

  •  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent retail experience in merchandise planning

  • Detail oriented

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Strong computer skills - preferably MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Experience in buying, planning or allocation

  • Fundamental understanding of supply chain operations and inventory management

  • Financial Acumen
