Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant (MA) 
Location: St. Louis, Missouri 
Department: Clarity / Preferred Family Healthcare 
Employment Type: Full-time 
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.

This position is ideal for professionals looking to contribute to a compassionate, team-based primary clinic setting. You’ll assist with patient check-ins, provide clinical and lab support, and work closely with nursing and psychiatry staff to ensure high-quality care and positive client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare clients for exams, obtain vital signs, and assist with medical histories 

  • Administer injections, perform phlebotomy, and conduct lab testing 

  • Ensure exam and treatment rooms are equipped and sanitized 

  • Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, and manage medical records 

  • Provide support and education to clients regarding their care 

  • Visit residential sites to review documentation and support medical needs 

  • Communicate with providers, pharmacies, and external specialists 

  • Participate in discharge planning and coordinate follow-up care 

  • Accompany clients to appointments and advocate for their rights 

  • Maintain inventory and lab supplies, including monitoring temperature logs 

  • Document services and interactions in the electronic medical record system 

  • Manage clinic injection calendar and medication needs 

  • Participate in team meetings and other duties as assigned by nursing leadership 
      

Education and/or Experience Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Practical Nursing program 

  • One year of experience in a healthcare or clinical setting preferred 
      

Required License/Certification (one of the following): 

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) 
    OR... 

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Missouri 

 
Additional Qualifications: 

  • CPR certification preferred 

  • Phlebotomy experience and lab proficiency strongly preferred 

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team 

  • Proficient in electronic health records and standard clinical software 

  • Committed to upholding confidentiality, safety, and ethical care practices
