As a Senior Silviculture Manager, you don't just manage forests - you optimize them through innovation and precision. You will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing both annual and long-term silviculture plans that align with our strategic Market Driven Precision Forestry (MDPF) and sustainability goals. You will optimize silviculture regimes to maximize productivity, efficiency, and financial returns across your designated area. By overseeing everything from site preparation to timber stand improvements and managing a complex network of contractor relationships, you serve as a driving force in the growth and health of our forest assets.

What You Bring to the Team
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or a related field (or equivalent experience); a Graduate degree in Forestry or Business is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in land management, with a strong emphasis on silviculture and forest operations administration.
Technical Expertise: A thorough understanding of regeneration silviculture, timber stand improvement, forest inventory, GIS applications, and sustainable forestry practices.
Professional Skills: Proven ability to motivate others, excellent communication, and strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. Direct experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost control.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
This role requires extensive physical activity, including hiking across varied terrain (uneven ground, slopes, wetlands, and dense vegetation), carrying equipment and supplies, and performing strenuous tasks like inventory measurements and sale setup. Work involves maintaining stability on uneven surfaces, navigating obstacles, and working in challenging positions, often outdoors in diverse weather conditions. Operating machinery, power tools, and motor vehicles are also required. Must be flexible to travel within the district.
