DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of the Athletics and Activities Manager and building administration, the Interscholastic Athletics Coach organizes and administers the team which he/she coaches. Coaches are hired per BOE Policy 7120 COACHES AND ADVISORS OF HIGH SCHOOL EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES.
Coaches are hired by recommendations only. If you are selected for the position, your names will be sent to HCPSS Office of Recruitment and Hiring. You will be contacted by the Human Resources office via email from the application system.

Coaches are hired seasonally and are considered temporary employees. Coaches receive no benefits.
Coaching positions may be paid or volunteer. Paid coaches receive a stipend at the end of the season.

Pre-Employment Requirements

All employees, regular and temporary, must be fingerprinted, have a criminal background investigation completed, and successfully complete the Maryland Employment History Review, pursuant to Section 6-113.2 of the Education Article, Annotated Code of Maryland. In addition, some positions will require completion of a physical examination and/or drug testing.
