Associate Director of Recruitment & Onboarding, Division of Continuing Studies
Job Description:
Under the direction of the Assistant Dean for DCS and Director of Recruitment, the Associate Director of Recruitment and Advising serves a variety of outreach, admissions, and enrollment functions within DCS.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as concierge for students at the Frederick Campus and support recruitment for the SoHP and DCS.
- Support Recruiting and onboarding of new students by managing the admissions inbox and doing external visits as needed.
- Perform transcript analysis and create degree plans for prospective students AUG and GR students.
- Advocate for and support DCS students by collaborating with a variety of university departments to address needs and remove barriers to success.
- Support program directors and students enrolled as non-degree seeking students in the Advanced Law Enforcement Training Academy (ALETA), as well as dual enrollment high school students, business professionals and visiting students.
- Act as a DCS Designated School Official (DSO), providing international F-1 student support, including CPT and OPT processing for MBA, MSABA, and science graduate students.
- Collaborate with the Director of Recruitment for DCS and SOHP to ensure the Division of Continuing Studies is engaged with all 16 community colleges in the State of MD.
- Engage/consult with the DCS Academic Coordinator to clarify and address AUG questions related to academics, including majors, minors, certificates, and transferable elements of the Core.
- Promote and support recruitment for the Center of Lifelong Learning by managing inquiries and onboarding students into both in-house and Ed2go courses.
- Oversee engagement with workforce services in Frederick, Montgomery, Baltimore, and Carroll Counties and help with oversight of the Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) and Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) courses.
- Work with the registrar’s office on articulation agreements and Artsys program transfer guides.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressively responsible higher education experience, including admissions, academic operations, or related fields.
- Significant experience with Slate or comparable systems preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to collaborate across departments.
- Commitment to the values of a liberal arts education in the Catholic tradition.
Target Salary
$62,000/year
(Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications).
