Position Title:

Assistant Women's Basketball Coach

Job Description:

Reporting to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach, the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach will assist the head coach in all facets of the women’s basketball program to ensure a quality program and successful Division I team. Assumes responsibility for at least two of the following basketball program operations: scouting, recruiting coordination, community relations, scheduling, academic supervision, summer camps. Interacts professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively assist in coaching a competitive basketball program in a manner which promotes sportsmanship among athletes, ensuring compliance with all NCAA, MAAC, and institutional rules and regulations.
  • Effectively assist in recruiting qualified student athletes to participate in the University’s athletic program and effectively promote Mount St. Mary’s University academic and athletic programs to potential students.
  • Serves as Recruiting Coordinator to organize all visits and work with the Office of Compliance regarding initial/transfer eligibility.
  • Excels in a team environment and can execute roles and responsibilities designated by the Head Coach
  • Manage The Mount Women’s Basketball Social Media Account by Promoting a Positive Brand
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Successful collegiate coaching and/or collegiate playing experience desired.
  • Must be proficient in Adobe, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
  • Review of candidates will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.

Salary Range:

$45,000-$63,000/year

(Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications).
