Environmental Services Special Projects Supervisor


 

The Environmental Supervisor oversees the cleaning and maintaining of an assigned building or area by managing student workers, regularly inspecting facilities, maintaining files, and completing special projects as requested.


 

Oversee ES Student Workers, and Train ES Staff
Coach, invest, and evaluate an assigned crew of student employees/staff employees. Maintain morale and high productivity. Cover responsibilities in the absence of a student employee. Confirm that employees are compliant with OSHA safety standards and have current Safety Data Sheet information.

Maintain Awareness of Campus Flooring Needs
Conduct regular area inspections and communicate results with student employees. Conduct area inspections for damage or maintenance problems and submit online requests for repairs as needed. Maintain orderly custodial areas, order custodial supplies for student crews, and be familiar with chemical use and information.

Maintain General Files
Keep proper documentation for all assigned student employees. Keep campus floor care information and event files updated. Keep supervisory material current and accurate.

Complete Special Projects and Training
Complete certifications or specialized training recommended by managers. Perform and coordinate specific projects given by managers. Research new methods used in the floor care industry.

Required Education:

HS

Preferred Education:
College Degree


 

Work Experience

Required Experience:

1+ years as a team leader, 2+ years in certified floor care

Preferred Experience:
1+ years in custodial management


 

Physical Requirements and Skills

Ability to lift 50+ pounds, Able to work with cleaning chemicals, Capable of standing and walking for long periods of time, Detail-Oriented, Flexible to work where needed, Floor Care, Operate standard office equipment, Organized, State driver's license
