Student Life Office Assistant


 

The Student Life Office Assistant is responsible for answering questions and assisting people both on the telephone and in the Student Life Office. The Assistant will also complete daily clerical work and assist the Student Life Staff as needed.


 

Manage Calls
Answer phones courteously and professionally. Be patient with callers and research answers to questions as needed. Transfer callers to the correct department.

Greet Guests
Greet guests with friendliness and professionalism. Answer questions or direct guests to the correct office. Help guest fill out forms for Residency Changes, Church Changes, etc. as needed.

Provide Clerical Support
Maintain tickler files, memos, and letters. Proof correspondence sent from Student Life Staff. Schedule students and guests on the Deans' calendars. Set up meetings and appointments.

Assist Student Life Staff
Be available to assist the Deans, Associate Deans, Dean's Assistants, and the Residence Managers of Student Life. Open and close the office daily, process mail, and assist with various projects as needed.

Answering Telephones, Detail-Oriented, Microsoft Office, Operating Office Equipment, Organizing, Sitting for long periods of time
