Leer is an employee-owned company looking for an enthusiastic Turret Operator. Candidate must be proficient on Turret and demonstrate the ability to read and understand engineering prints. Ability to work with computer-controlled sheet metal processing systems and perform proper inspection checks as required.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to read and understand engineering prints

  • Must be willing and able to train others to perform your job

  • A good attitude and the ability to work well with others is required

  • Must be conscious of quality and scrap reduction at all times

  • Perform proper inspection checks as required

  • Must be willing and able to work with computer-controlled sheet metal processing systems

  • Must perform all other sheet metal duties depending on needs and requirements

  • Familiarity with setting up sheet metal machinery a plus

  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must understand & be able to follow ALL safe operating procedures & requirements

  • Minimum of two years of experience with Computer Controlled processing systems a plus

  • Detail oriented

  • Capable of proper and thorough tooling set-up

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. plus, on a continuous basis

  • Ability to push and pull carts

  • Ability to use repetitive motions

  • Ability to reach overhead and/or above shoulder height frequently

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

  • Ability to be on time and at work daily
