The Role and What You’ll Do:

This position reports to the Vice President, Business Operations and supports cross-functional initiatives across multiple UFC departments. The Business Operations Intern will gain exposure to departmental workflows, assist with data management and system updates, and contribute to process improvement efforts. This role also collaborates with the Finance team on select projects and supports event operations, including on-site assistance. The intern plays a key role in maintaining data accuracy, identifying efficiencies, and supporting organizational priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Rotate through key departments to learn daily operations, workflows, and business objectives
  • Shadow team members and attend meetings to observe and document departmental processes
  • Compile a comprehensive report for upper management outlining observations, strengths, weaknesses, and actionable recommendations for process improvements
  • Assist with data entry, maintenance, and updates within internal systems, including the UFC HUB and athlete/staff applications
  • Support data cleanup initiatives, ensuring accuracy and consistency across systems and files
  • Take notes during meetings and track key action items and follow-ups
  • Provide administrative and operational support across departments, including boxing and other business units
  • Assist the Finance team with tasks such as data entry, reporting support, and event budget tracking when needed
  • Help prepare for and support live events, including assisting the Event Controller from a finance and operations perspective
  • Attend select events and contribute to on-site operational execution
  • Support International Fight Week and other major initiatives with various operational tasks
  • Conduct research and assist with updates related to UFC and boxing data and reporting

You Have These:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Business, Finance, Operations, Economics, or a related field (Junior or Senior preferred)
  • Strong interest in sports business, operations, and cross-functional management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-starter with a willingness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate across departments
