About the Opportunity

Are you an analytical, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Driscoll’s is seeking a Packaging Planner & Supplier Management expert to join our Packaging EMEA team.

In this role, you will ensure the timely availability of packaging materials, balancing supplier production, internal demand, and regional fruit supply for markets including Morocco, Portugal, Spain, and the UK. With close collaboration across multiple teams — including Master Planning, Marketing, Sales, and Suppliers — you will play a crucial role in maintaining optimal packaging stock levels (4-6 weeks), managing supplier relationships, and driving packaging-related projects.

Your expertise in Excel, ERP systems, and clear communication will be key to managing dynamic supply chains and complex planning scenarios. This role will require around 15-20% of traveling in the EMEA region.

 

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a reliable 0-6 week packaging plan covering consumption per item and country of origin.

• Collaborate with regional teams to maintain packaging stock levels aligned with production schedules.

• Act as the primary contact for packaging suppliers, managing production plans and supplier performance.

• Lead weekly supplier calls to coordinate production planning.

• Manage production scope planning for 6-13 weeks based on demand and supply insights.

• Execute daily operations in ERP (Microsoft Dynamics) and Excel, generating reports and weekly production overviews.

• Monitor and update packaging stock levels weekly, considering internal and external inventory, demand, and supply.

• Communicate effectively with internal departments including Supply Forecasting, Sales, Marketing, and Growers.

• Generate monthly reports on packaging obsoletes, turnover, and stock levels.

• Participate in or lead projects on packaging innovation, optimization, process improvements, and sustainability initiatives.

   

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, HAS, or similar fields.

• 1-5 years’ experience in packaging planning, supply chain, or the food industry preferred.

• Proven ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.

• Experience in project management is a plus.

Skills & Characteristics:

• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and intermediate knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics/Oracle).

• Basic familiarity with cloud planning tools (e.g., Anaplan) is advantageous.

• Strong analytical skills with a passion for working with numbers and data.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Able to stay calm under pressure and prioritize competing tasks effectively.

• Advanced English fluency; Spanish or French is a plus.
