About the Opportunity

The Assistant Chief Pilot for the King Air 350 aircraft will play a key role in solving complex operational challenges by applying innovative solutions and developing new concepts, methods, and techniques. This position operates with a high degree of independence, seeking guidance only in the most complex situations.

The Assistant Chief Pilot will maintain regular communication with the Senior Manager of Aviation to ensure timely resolution of all operational issues related to the King Air 350. Additionally, they will collaborate closely with the Manager of Aircraft Maintenance to stay informed on technical matters and review upcoming scheduled maintenance.

 

Responsibilities

•     Analyze internal and external concerns, recommend best practices, and lead functional teams to ensure Driscoll’s aircraft are maintained to the highest standards.

•     Establish best practices to extend the service life of aircraft components and optimize support services such as digital flight planning, inflight connectivity, and subscriptions to ensure safe and efficient aircraft operations.
•    Lead functional teams or projects to drive operational excellence.
•    Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Aviation to manage initiatives that support strategic growth.
•    Support the Business Unit’s people priorities, including leadership development, employee engagement, and performance enablement.
•    Up to 10% domestic and international travel required.
•    Consistently represent Driscoll’s with professionalism and integrity in all interactions with growers, colleagues, suppliers, customers, and the broader business community.

   

Candidate Profile

• FAA-issued Airline Transport Pilot License with no history of suspension or revocation.
• Minimum of five years (or 2,000 hours) of experience flying turbine-powered aircraft.
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university is preferred.
• FAA type rating in the Beech King Air 350 aircraft is preferred.
• Must possess a valid California driver’s license with no serious violations and be eligible for coverage under Driscoll’s company-sponsored vehicle insurance program.
• Must have a valid passport and be able to travel internationally without restrictions.

• Must be able to work under time pressure, adapt to non-standard work hours (outside of Monday–Friday daytime), and communicate effectively with others.

Compensation & Benefits:
The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the salary range and benefits for the position posted.  The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, internal pay equity, and other objective job-related factors. 

Salary Range estimated for the Assistant Chief Pilot is: $ 179,000 to 220,000 USD.
