ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Evaluates health status through performing comprehensive health assessments as required by agency policies
• Accountable for completion of face to face assessments within required timeframes.
• Collaborates with physician, patient/family and interdisciplinary team regarding assessment findings, care needs, and revisions to plan of care.
• Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with patients, family members, co-workers, physicians and referral sources.
• Performs timely and accurate documentation in accordance with agency policy.
• Supervises Medical Services Advanced Practice Practitioner staff administratively by:
  • Monitors expenses, managing timekeeping and time off requests, completes the Medical Services Department on-call calendar, and assists with other administrative duties as needed.
• Abides by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Knowledge of MS Office software.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• APRN - MSN & Advance Practice Degree with Psychiatric Specialty or
• PA-C - Bachelor's as Physician Assistant (Master's preferred) 
• Certification in Family Practice or CHPN within three months of hire.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Psychiatry experience, including prior inpatient care.

LICENSURE OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

• Current licensure as an APRN in the State of Kansas or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
• If APRN, must have Psych/Mental Health Certification.
• NPI Number and DEA Number.
• Healthcare Provider BLS – if BLS is not American Heart Association, AHA BLS is required within three months of hire.
• Kansas State Driver’s License.
• Auto Insurance equal to or greater than the Kansas insurance requirements.
