The Biomedical Technician I will provide Biomedical technology support for clinical departments by maintaining therapeutic and diagnostic equipment to ensure the availability of technology to the point of care safely and professionally.

1. Performs bench work and practices troubleshooting and inspection of all general medical equipment.

2. Develops safe troubleshooting/service techniques and know all aspects of Clinical Engineering safety responsibilities.

3. Becomes familiar with using test equipment, hand tools, service manuals and online documentation.

4. Completes 100% Life Support PMs and a minimum of 95% Non-Life Support PMs that are assigned monthly.

5. Efficiently uses a computer to access electronic and on-line service manuals and medical device vendor websites.

6. Becomes familiar with the medical equipment database and how to accurately document service activity.
