We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Management for our Wallula, WA location. This temporary, two-year position will provide support to during the construction of our new facility, reviewing contractor schedules, budgets, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance. You’ll identify risks, validate costs, and provide expert guidance to keep the project on track and aligned with its goals.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline (advanced degree or equivalent experience required).
  • Proven experience in large-scale industrial or manufacturing facility projects, ideally within the mineral wool, insulation, or process manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, including scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and contract administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to review and interpret technical documentation, contractor proposals, and change orders with a focus on identifying risks and inconsistencies.
  • Skilled in analyzing and validating contractor performance, schedules, and budgets to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to advise and influence project owners, engineers, and contractors.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to anticipate issues and drive proactive solutions.
  • Familiarity with construction documentation standards, procurement processes, and performance reporting tools.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all phases of project execution.

What you will be doing:

  • Serve as a project consultant supporting the planning, design, and construction of a new ROCKWOOL manufacturing facility, ensuring all project phases align with technical, financial, and operational goals.
  • Advise the project owner on contractor schedules, budgets, billings, and proposed change orders to ensure accuracy, transparency, and adherence to contract terms.
  • Review and analyze project documentation, including engineering reports, contractor submittals, and cost proposals, to identify potential risks or discrepancies before they impact project progress.
  • Monitor contractor performance and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize project efficiency, quality, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure scientific and technical integrity throughout all project deliverables.
  • Support budget and cost control efforts by validating contractor invoicing and identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to project leadership through detailed reports and presentations, supporting strategic decisions and issue resolution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, developing best practices for contract management, project controls, and performance evaluation across large-scale industrial projects.

The hourly range for this position is $55.00-75.00. The hourly range is based on experience and the pay of employees in similar positions.
