This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in public administration, social work or a closely related field (Master’s degree is highly desirable) and at least two years of experience in public sector contract management especially homeless and housing programs, grant administration, project management or a related field.
The degree must have been conferred by an institution of higher education and have National Recognition of Accrediting Agencies by the U.S. Secretary of Education, and official transcripts will be required at the time of hire.
All combinations of education, experience, and training that demonstrate the ability to perform the work will be considered.
The ideal candidate will have the following strengths:
· Knowledge of federal, state, and local funding sources and methods for homeless programs;
· Experience preparing and presenting information to boards, elected officials, and other policy/decision making groups;
· Demonstrated time-management and organizational skills. Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities;
· Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships; and
· Strong analytical, research and written communication skills.

The successful candidate must pass a criminal background check, as required by RCW 43.43.830.
Evidence of valid driver's license and certified copy of current driving record (CCDR) are required at time of hire.
