Job Description:
Basic Function:
Under direct supervision, perform basic mechanical assembly operations on production units.
Responsibilities:
1. Assemble mainframe of production unit; ensure trueness of mainframe assembly.
2. Assist higher-level assemblers in assembling subassemblies.
3. Perform material handling duties for mechanical assembly including packing rollers and pulling belts.
4. Maintain neat, clean and organized work area.
5. Perform other assigned duties.
Physical Requirements:
1. Must be capable of lifting minimum of 50 pounds.
2. Must be capable of full range of body movement: head, neck, shoulders, lift arms overhead, work overhead, good dexterity and range of movement in fingers and hands.
3. Must be able to remain continuously standing or seated without discomfort for a minimum of three hours, if necessary.
4. Must have good balance and lack fear of heights while working on ladders and elevated platforms.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Minimal - entry level; 0-12 months job experience.
Skills: Demonstrated mechanical aptitude; ability to operate hand tools; ability to follow instructions; quick learner. Basic layout skills.
Compensation: $19-21/hour (DOE)
