Position Overview:

The Connection and Belonging Intern will support the Connection and Belonging team in advancing inclusive workplace initiatives and community engagement efforts. This internship offers hands-on experience in employee network support, event activation, research, and stakeholder engagement. Interns will gain exposure to corporate Connection and Belonging strategy and contribute to meaningful projects that promote belonging.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist the Connection and Belonging team with benchmarking and researching best practices related to Employee Networks.
  • Support Employee Networks with project coordination and initiative planning.
  • Maintain an inventory of identity items and promotional materials.
  • Conduct research and analysis as directed by the Workforce Experience Connection and Belonging Director.
  • Participate in promotional and business development activities.
  • Network and engage with the business community at Chamber and civic events.
  • Help activate corporate sponsorships at local nonprofit events.
  • Conduct research and respond to business surveys as assigned.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Cumulative GPA: 3.0 preferred; 2.5 minimum cumulative GPA.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • Highly collaborative and team-oriented.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Good judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to commute to the New Orleans office and attend local events.
