We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Spray Technician to join our team. The Spray Technician is responsible for applying fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides to turf, trees, shrubs, and ornamental plants. This role ensures landscapes remain healthy, pest-free, and visually appealing while following all safety and environmental standards.
Prepare, mix, and apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides according to label instructions and company standards.
Inspect properties for pest, weed, and disease issues; recommend appropriate treatments.
Calibrate and operate spray rigs, backpack sprayers, and other application equipment.
Maintain accurate records of applications, including products, rates, and areas treated.
Clean and maintain equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
Follow all federal, state, and local regulations regarding chemical handling and application.
Communicate effectively with clients and team members about treatment plans and results.
Assist with general landscape maintenance when required.
Minimum 2 years of experience in chemical application or landscape maintenance.
Knowledge of turf, shrub, and tree care, including pest and weed management practices.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Possession of or ability to obtain a state pesticide applicator license.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical labor.
Excellent communication and recordkeeping skills.
