Landscape Maintenance Branch Manager
Position located in Sykesville, MD

The Maintenance Branch Manager is responsible for the overall performance, profitability, and quality of the landscape maintenance division. This individual oversees client satisfaction, field operations, personnel management, and financial performance within their branch. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader who combines operational efficiency, horticultural knowledge, and exceptional customer service skills to deliver high-end residential landscape experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Account Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with residential clients.
Ensure client expectations are met through proactive communication and consistent service quality.
Conduct regular site walks with clients and account managers to evaluate quality and identify enhancement opportunities.
Manage renewals and assist in upselling enhancements and seasonal services.
Operational Leadership
Oversee daily branch operations, including crew scheduling, routing, and production efficiency.
Ensure all work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to company standards.
Coordinate with purchasing and logistics to ensure materials, equipment, and vehicles are properly managed.
Conduct regular site audits for quality assurance and operational performance.
Team Management
Lead, coach, and develop account managers, field supervisors, and crew leaders.
Implement training programs for safety, technical skills, and customer service.
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and professionalism.
Recruit, onboard, and retain high-performing staff.
Financial Performance
Manage branch budgets, including labor, materials, and overhead.
Monitor branch profitability and take corrective action to achieve financial goals.
Track and report key metrics, including labor efficiency, job costing, and client retention.
Support pricing strategies for renewals and enhancement proposals.
Qualifications
7+ years of progressive leadership experience in high-end residential or commercial landscape maintenance.
Proven track record managing crews, account managers, and client portfolios.
Strong knowledge of horticulture, irrigation, turf management, and seasonal maintenance practices.
Exceptional organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills suited to high-end clientele.
Proficiency with scheduling, estimating, and CRM software (e.g., Aspire, LMN, or similar).
Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Landscape Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

$90,000 - $110,000
