How Will You Add Value 

The Director, Commercial Excellence Center will report directly to the VP of US Commercial Strategy and lead initiatives to strengthen Genewiz’s global commercial performance through sales enablement, training, process improvement, and data-driven insights. Acting as a strategic partner to the commercial leadership team, this role will develop and execute strategies that enhance revenue growth, operational agility, and long-term business sustainability.

What You’ll Do  

• Design and implement comprehensive sales training and certification programs to elevate sales capabilities and commercial competencies.
• Develop and standardize sales methodologies and playbooks tailored to diverse customer segments.
• Deliver sales metrics, KPIs, and performance analytics to improve sales effectiveness and identify growth opportunities.
• Build and manage commercial analytics frameworks, forecasting models, and data visualization tools for real-time insights.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to define and optimize commercial strategies across global markets.
• Oversee CRM systems, pipeline management, and lead-tracking mechanisms to improve conversion rates and forecasting accuracy.
• Champion a continuous improvement culture, driving adoption of best practices and operational excellence across commercial teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between go-to-market strategies and overall business priorities and customer needs.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in commercial operations, sales excellence, or business strategy within the genomics, synthetic biology, or broader life sciences industry.
• Demonstrated success in driving commercial transformation and implementing scalable sales enablement programs.
• Strong analytical, strategic, and leadership capabilities with proficiency in CRM and data analytics tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across global teams.
• Experience in a publicly traded or growth-stage life science company strongly preferred.

United States Base Compensation: $181,000.00 - $226,000.00

The posted pay range for this position is an estimate based on current market data and internal pay structure. Final compensation may vary above or below this range depending on factors such as experience, education (including licensure and certifications),  qualifications, performance, and geographic location, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
