Job Details:
In collaboration with the Manager of Patient & Family Experience and the Family Resource Center, the Family Experience Associate serves as a welcoming, supportive presence for families supported by the Patient Experience Department at Dayton Children’s Hospital. This role focuses on enhancing the overall family experience by providing hospitality, emotional support, programming and access to resources during appointments, surgeries/procedures, or hospitalization. The Family Experience Associate engages with families to gather feedback and insights to help inform ongoing improvements to the hospital and patient and family experience. The Associate helps ensure that family-facing spaces supported by the Patient Experience Department are welcoming, inclusive, and well-maintained, reflecting Dayton Children’s commitment to family-centered care.
Required Qualifications
Education:
GED or High School Diploma
Experience:
2-4 years of experience in customer service, patient support, hospitality, or community engagement
Skills and Competencies:
Customer Service and hospitality skills, interpersonal and communication skills, computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Associate degree or coursework in Customer Service, Healthcare, Social Services, Hospitality, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in patient experience, hospitality, family support services, social services, or community-based programming, preferably within a healthcare, pediatric, or nonprofit environment.
Department Specific Job Details:
Shifts vary within 8:00AM - 8:00PM, may include evenings, weekends, holidays.
May require travel to multiple locations.
