EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIP: Just cause subject to probationary period

CURRENT HOURS AND STARTING TIME: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) position. The starting time for this position is currently 8:00 a.m.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under direction, assists in the management of fixed assets, equipment, and property for Macomb County. Utilizes computer hardware and software programs to aid in the management of blueprints and various construction documents. Coordinates property and asset maintenance schedules. Picks up and delivers materials and parts to multiple facilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collects data and photographs of county assets such as electrical panels, generators, and Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment.

Deploys equipment identification tags in the field to new and existing county assets.

Assists in the maintenance of property, equipment, supplies, and historical items.

Acquires and distributes inventory of first aid kits, responsible for filling and restocking supplies.

Reviews operational reports and schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Coordinates the disposal of surplus materials.

Operates an automobile to perform assigned job functions.

Performs related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
     

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Vocational training in facilities and operations or construction

  • Two (2) years of experience working in facilities and operations, maintenance or building trades field

Required Licenses or Certifications

  • Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and operable, insured automobile for authorized travel
