Job Summary
Operates metal working tools and machines to modify, repair, and fabricate molds and metal components for producing rubber parts in presses.
Primary Duties
-    Perform pre-operation inspections on equipment and tools.
-    Perform welding operations.
-    Ability to assemble mold from concept to finished product. 
-    Operate machines (lathe, drill presses, saws, grinders, etc.) to fabricate metal pieces.
-    Perform precision measurements using various instruments.
-    Safely operate bridge cranes, forklifts for lifting and moving heavy materials.
-    Interpret mechanical drawings.
-    Maintain tools and equipment.
-    Complete required documentation.
-    Perform housekeeping tasks required to maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
-    Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures.
-    Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Activity Demands
-    Standing/walking/bending for majority of shift.
-    Lifting to 50 pounds.
-    Pulling, pushing, use of tools.
-    Performing work in a hot environment.
Requirements
-    Ability to communicate using English
-    Ability to read measurements using tape measure, hand mic, calipers, angle finder
-    Forklift Experience
-    Pneumatic Tool Experience (grinder, buffer)
-    Ability to read blueprints 
-    Reliable and punctual attendance
-    Available to work all shifts.
-    Willingness to work on-call. 
-    Complete FLS Keokuk internal welding qualification program. 
-    Able to perform job duties listed on an individual basis to satisfactory result.
-    Ability to understand operations of mold presses.
-    Willing to complete extra training/courses defined by training plan. 
Experience
-    1-3 years of working in a metal working/fabrication position.
-    1-3 years experience working in an industrial environment.
-    One year experience working in tool and die discipline.
