Position Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Scheduler to develop and maintain production schedules that align customer demand, inventory levels, and production capacity. This role is critical to ensuring on-time delivery, efficient use of resources, and smooth operations across multiple manufacturing areas. The Scheduler will play a key role in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), capacity planning, and day-to-day coordination with production teams to support operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of AS400 and APICS principles
  • Experience supporting multiple manufacturing areas or complex production environments
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret forecasts and demand signals
  • Proven ability to create and track performance metrics related to delivery and productivity

Required Qualifications

  • Fluent English communication skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in production scheduling or programming within automotive manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of MRP, materials planning, and Master Production Scheduling (MPS)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel with strong analytical and multitasking capabilities

Position Overview
The Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining the master production schedule, including detailed schedules for each operating area, inventory planning, and delivery requirements. This role utilizes sales forecasts, production capacity plans, and the S&OP process to proactively set manufacturing output levels and ensure customer requirements are met. Scheduling responsibilities may cover areas such as Assembly, Metal Paint, Injection Molding, Liquid Paint, Fabrication, Welding, Engines, Subassembly, PG&A, Pilot builds, and Rework.

Key duties include coordinating with lead operators to convert planned orders into process orders, managing both short- and long-term production schedules, and analyzing capacity requirements to support efficient operations. The Scheduler will track performance metrics, create weekly reporting dashboards, and take action to meet delivery performance targets while maintaining cost controls.

Additional responsibilities include analyzing and dispositioning excess and obsolete inventory, supporting HR processes in alignment with Polaris values and the Great Place to Work (GPTW) model, completing required training, and ensuring effective communication across teams. Success in this role requires strong teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and in-depth knowledge of production practices and scheduling within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
