Here's more of what you will do...

A District Sales Manager (DSM) is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction engaging the account team to achieve company objectives.  This position is part of the Off Premise or On Premise Sales team.

WORK TASKS

A DSM can be expected to perform the following tasks in this role as a routine part of the job:

Manages and drives exceptional retail execution through strong team performance.

  • Ensures timely and accurate order entry, inventory management and time keeping.
  • Ensures quality, product rotation and customer standards are followed.

Works 1-on-1 with team members to ensure all are trained and coached on current sales practices, monitors their in-market performance and co-leads retailer meetings as needed to model effective sales presentations and retailer interactions.

  • Coaches price realization monitoring in all accounts.
  • Coaches P2EP, P2PDI, Brand Builder/Model Market and other sales tools applicable to the account type and market segment.

Cultivates contacts within the market to develop awareness of trends/changes in the market and how they affect customers; consistently leverages current relationships to influence future retailers.

Collaborates with all sales team members to achieve company strategic goals using data-driven tools and methods.  Consistently discusses Andrews’ overall objectives and initiatives with team members.

Monitors team results and adjusts strategies as needed for maximum results. Analyzes and controls expenditures to confirm to budgetary requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

A qualified candidate for the DSM role should satisfy the expectations below:

REQUIRED

  • Five Years Sales Experience
  • Previous Distribution Business Experience; Strong Understanding of the Beer/Beverage Industry
  • Strong Communication and Relationship Building Skills

PREFERRED

  • College degree in Sales, Business or Other Related Field
  • Previous Category Management Experience
  • Advanced Technology and Data Analysis Skills
  • Level 1 – Certified Beer Server Certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ability to maintain a sustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time and operate computer equipment.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and twist is required for filing and general office duties.
  • Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as standing, walking, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which maybe heavy or awkward.
  • Exerts up to 55 lbs of force occasionally and/or negligible amount frequently to move office-related items or materials.
  • Ability to use a personal computer for tasks such as communicating via email, preparing reports and other forms of documentation using company and industry software.
  • Ability to speak, hear, and see is required to communicate with employees, and to operate computers and office machinery.
  • Hand-eye coordination and fine manipulation skills are necessary to operate computers and various office equipment.
  • Continual hand/wrist motion is required to operate computers and office machinery.
  • Driving may be required during the workday.
  • Must tolerate working in an environment with inside/outside ambient/extreme temperatures.
  • Ability to perform job functions in compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety policies and best practices.
  • Must be able to maintain a current/valid driver's license.
  • Must maintain regular and punctual attendance.
