Job Description:
The primary role of the EHS Specialist will be to collaborate with the HSE Manager to develop, implement, and sustain the safety programs that serve to protect the health and safety of employees at Gorbel’s US locations. The EHS Specialist will use sound technical judgment, strong team-building and interpersonal skills to identify, assess, analyze, and resolve safety hazards in manufacturing and office environments. They will provide safety expertise, day-to-day leadership, and execute safety-related activities. Their goal will be to educate employees working throughout the company on how to work safely, how they can contribute to creating a safe work environment, and coach and develop them to implement and sustain safe work practices. This role will focus primarily on improving safety and occupational health issues. However, occasional environmental compliance activities will be required.
The responsibilities of this role will include providing safety training and instruction, completing inspections and corrective actions, completing incident investigations, performing factory and equipment change assessments, participating on site safety teams, developing safety promotions and outreach activities, and managing safety rewards & recognition programs.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Gorbel, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
