Position summary

The Manager, Practice Development drives the expansion and sale of DMA’s property tax services within an assigned territory or market. The role is responsible for new client acquisition, pipeline management, prospect meetings, proposals, and contract negotiation, in close collaboration with service teams and leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilites

  • Identify, qualify, and advance new business opportunities; expand relationships with existing clients.

  • Lead outbound and inbound campaigns; conduct discovery calls and virtual/on-site meetings.

  • Translate prospect needs into clear property tax savings value propositions and solutions.

  • Draft proposals; coordinate scope, pricing, and terms with internal stakeholders.

  • Negotiate client contracts, engaging legal counsel when needed.

  • Maintain accurate pipeline, activities, and forecasting in internal CRM (OMS).

  • Partner with service teams to ensure high-quality client onboarding and satisfaction.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 3–5 years of inside, field sales experience or property tax or related industry (commercial real estate, valuation, brokerage, title, property management).

  • Demonstrated success meeting/exceeding sales quotas.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong research, organization, and time management abilities.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office; strong internal CRM skills (OMS).

  • Valid driver’s license.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work Schedule: Regular, 40 hours/week

  • Travel: 10-25%

  • Physical Activity:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use

    • Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and sounds

    • Frequent repetitive motions with hands
