Student Activities Coordinator Opportunity

Tallahassee State College (TSC), recently recognized as one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges for 2025, is excited to announce a full-time opportunity for the position of Student Activities Coordinator with the Student Life Department. We are seeking a dedicated professional who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant workplace community.

What You’ll Do
The Student Activities Coordinator, assists in organizing, coordinating and overseeing the daily operations, activities, events and support services of Student Life & Leadership and Student Services and works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering TSC mission.

Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for: 

• Responsible for ensuring that all Student Activities events operate effectively and efficiently, while assessing event and attendee needs.
• Ensure event set-up, decorating, production, and tear down are completed for various Student Activities events, including: Convocation, Stu-Fac, Commencement, Passing of the Gravel, Spirit Week, Block Parties etc. 
• Responsible for security, hospitality, promotion etc. at Student Activities events as needed, and maintain a working knowledge of all event details on the Student Activities calendar and properly promote these events.
• Assist in the maintenance and adherence to policies and procedures during events at Student Activities Events, ensuring compliance with College policies, and will be responsible for assisting with the promotion of Student Activities programming and events.
• Administer and collect surveys at events and contribute to post-event evaluations for program improvement and future planning and execution and assist with events and operations during evening, nights or weekend hours as needed.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will have:

• An Associate's degree.
• Three (3) years of related work experience, or a bachelor's degree with one (1) year of experience in Student Activities.
