Position Summary

  • The primary function of the Director of Acoustical Products is to perform all purchasing and inventory control duties.
  • This Manager is a liaison between accounting, management, sales, and operations. Responsible for purchases made by the organization and inventory levels at each location. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks, leads, and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ownership of short and mid-term (1-3) years of strategy execution and operational direction in alignment with division objectives. Interacts with executive leadership and others concerning matters of significance to the organization. Process POs & receiving papers accurately and on time. Responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels in the yards. Control shrinkage and damaged inventory. Oversee monthly cycle counting and close out procedures. Negotiate pricing, terms, conditions, and program details with vendors. Review product lines for possible item additions and deletions. Uses commercialization insights to influence internal and external vendors’ decisions on price and product value. Provides technical advice. ABC product stratification and ROI calculations. Conduct purchasing planning by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends. Undertake and complete other work-related responsibilities as assigned by management. Manages multiple teams within the division.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
  • Strong Microsoft office skills
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position in an office environment 70% of the time. Will frequently move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to operate basic office machinery.
  • Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
