What will you be doing?
You will work with the Performance Psychologist and Safeguarding and Welfare Officer to create and deliver Individual Development plans that support professional players with social, career, and financial strategies while fostering an environment where players are empowered to manage personal and life demands, encouraging long-term career outcomes and growth.
Delivering 121 coaching and support sessions with players, you will enhance their life-management skills as well as develop transferable skills such as leadership, communication and decision-making to support longer-term off-field career development.
You will design and implement individual career and personal development plans that support player transition within and beyond sport and encourage informed decision-making, identity development and life-skills. This will feed into the development of post-exit support systems for players, which offer follow-up guidance and access to career resources.
In collaboration with the Multi-Disciplinary Team, you will deliver career planning workshops and networking opportunities for players while facilitating access to educational, vocational and dual-career opportunities to enable players to balance sport with academic and professional growth.
