COMPANY OVERVIEW

A newly established North America joint venture backed by Li & Fung, one of the world’s leading global supply chain and sourcing organisations, is seeking a highly experienced hospitality procurement leader to establish and lead its U.S. hospitality platform.

The business will focus exclusively on the hospitality sector, supporting luxury hotels, resorts, branded residences, mixed-use developments, and large-scale property projects across North America.

The JV will provide end-to-end sourcing and procurement solutions across:

  • FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment)
  • OS&E (Operating Supplies & Equipment)
  • Hotel merchandise
  • Uniforms
  • Hospitality operational procurement

ROLE OVERVIEW

The General Manager will be responsible for launching, building, and leading the North America hospitality procurement business from South Florida.

This individual will oversee commercial development, client relationships, tender management, procurement execution, supplier coordination, and operational delivery across hospitality projects.

The role requires a commercially capable operator with deep hospitality procurement experience and a strong understanding of hotel and resort development environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Leadership

  • Lead the establishment and day-to-day operation of the North America hospitality procurement business.
  • Support the launch and development of the Miami office and showroom presence.
  • Build operational structure, reporting processes, and project management discipline within the business.
  • Act as the senior operational and commercial representative of the JV within the North American market.

Hospitality Procurement & Project Delivery

  • Lead procurement execution across FF&E, OS&E, hotel merchandise, and uniforms.
  • Manage hospitality procurement projects from tender stage through to delivery.
  • Coordinate sourcing activities, supplier engagement, quotations, specifications, pricing, timelines, and procurement schedules.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with client expectations, budgets, quality standards, and timelines.

Commercial Development

  • Develop and manage relationships with hotel owners, developers, operators, designers, procurement consultants, and contractors.
  • Support conversion of active project opportunities into awarded business.
  • Identify and develop new hospitality procurement opportunities throughout North America.
  • Represent the business at industry meetings, client presentations, hospitality events, and project discussions.

Tender & Bid Management

  • Lead hospitality tender submissions and procurement proposals.
  • Review specifications, budgets, procurement requirements, and commercial terms.
  • Coordinate internally with sourcing teams and suppliers to develop competitive procurement solutions.
  • Ensure all bid submissions are commercially viable, operationally achievable, and professionally presented.

Supplier & Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with Li & Fung sourcing teams, factories, quality control, logistics, and operational support functions.
  • Manage supplier performance, production timelines, quality expectations, and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain strong oversight of project risk, logistics coordination, and delivery performance.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop the initial South Florida-based hospitality team.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding of additional commercial and operational personnel as the business scales.
  • Establish high standards of professionalism, accountability, responsiveness, and client service.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

The ideal candidate will have significant experience within hospitality procurement, hotel sourcing, FF&E, OS&E, or hospitality project delivery.

They will possess strong commercial capability combined with operational discipline and a practical understanding of hospitality development projects.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Significant experience within hospitality procurement, hotel sourcing, FF&E and/or OS&E environments.
  • Proven track record working on hotel, resort, residential, or mixed-use development projects.
  • Strong understanding of hospitality procurement processes, tendering, sourcing, budgeting, and supplier management.
  • Experience managing procurement execution across multiple stakeholders and project teams.
  • Existing network within the hospitality development and procurement sector preferred.
  • Strong commercial and client-facing capability.
  • Experience operating within fast-paced, entrepreneurial, or growth-focused environments.

FIRST 12 MONTH OBJECTIVES

  • Establish the operational foundation of the North America hospitality procurement business.
  • Support successful conversion of active hospitality opportunities into awarded projects.
  • Lead procurement delivery for initial hotel and resort development projects.
  • Build a strong pipeline of hospitality procurement opportunities across North America.
  • Develop key relationships within the hospitality development ecosystem.
  • Implement scalable procurement and operational processes.
  • Support development of the Miami office and showroom platform.

COMPENSATION

Competitive executive compensation package, including performance-based incentive structure, will be offered based on experience and capability.

LOCATION REQUIREMENT

The successful candidate is expected to be based in, or willing to relocate to, the South Florida / Miami area. Travel throughout North America will be required.
