Reporting to the Director of Clinical Physics Operations and serving as a member of the physics leadership team, the Chief Dosimetrist will oversee the dosimetry operations of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This leadership role is responsible for supervising, performing, and delegating patient-specific medical dosimetry tasks. The Chief Dosimetrist will help build appropriate dosimetry coverage systemwide.
The Chief Dosimetrist will provide supervision, guidance, and credentialing of all dosimetrists, ensure team adherence to departmental policies, and actively prepare the team for integration of future innovations such as artificial intelligence, remote dosimetry, and other disruptive technologies. Working closely with departmental leadership, the Chief Dosimetrist will be central in driving clinical excellence, safety, efficiency, and innovation across the system.
Completion of an accredited Medical Dosimetry Program
Master's Degree in Medical Dosimetry preferred
Minimum 7 years of clinical experience in medical dosimetry.
Demonstrated leadership/management experience in a clinical dosimetry setting.
Current board certification in medical dosimetry (CMD) is required
Pay Transparency Statement
The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills and qualifications.
For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
$178,200/year - $195,900/year
