Job Description

Dermatologist

The Dermatologist provides part-time specialty care at our health center one day per month, delivering comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of skin conditions for patients of all ages. This role supports our primary care team by offering expert dermatologic services and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.

Note: This is a part-time position.

What you'll do:

  • Perform dermatologic examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for a broad range of skin conditions.
  • Conduct minor dermatologic procedures, including biopsies, cryotherapy, and excisions as clinically indicated.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and promptly in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Collaborate with primary care providers and other clinicians to coordinate specialty care.
  • Provide patient education regarding skin health, treatment options, and preventive care.
  • Maintain compliance with clinical standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.

What qualifies you for this role:

Required

  • A firm commitment to the mission of BYU.
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited Dermatology residency program.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Dermatology.
  • Current and unrestricted Utah state medical license (or eligibility to obtain prior to employment).
  • Strong clinical skills in both medical dermatology and minor procedures.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, Christ-centered care in an outpatient setting.
