Sales Director - Latin America

Main Responsibility Areas:

New Business Development (70%)

  • Identify, develop, and close new opportunities with Mobile Network Operators across Latin America.
  • Build and execute a strategic regional sales plan aligned with growth objectives.
  • Develop executive-level relationships (CTO, VP Network, Head of Core, Procurement).
  • Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, RFP/RFI response, negotiation, and closing.
  • Drive complex solution sales in mobile core environments.
  • Collaborate with pre-sales, product, and engineering teams to tailor solutions.
  • Work jointly with strategic partners including Nokia and Mavenir to identify and pursue co-selling opportunities.
  • Develop pipeline forecasts and meet/exceed regional revenue targets.

Account Management (30%)

  • Manage and grow selected strategic accounts.
  • Expand footprint within existing customers through upselling and cross-selling.
  • Maintain long-term customer relationships and ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Drive joint account planning with partners where applicable.
  • Monitor competitor activities within accounts and protect market position.
  • Drive expansions, and multi-year agreements.

Partner Collaboration

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Nokia, Mavenir and other regional sales teams.
  • Identify joint go-to-market opportunities.
  • Align sales strategies to support ecosystem-driven opportunities.
  • Participate in joint customer meetings, events, and technical workshops.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Extensive years of telecom sales experience.
  • Proven track record selling into Mobile Network Operators (MNOs).
  • Demonstrated success across Latin America (including Mexico and Brazil).
  • Established personal network within major regional mobile operators.
  • Experience managing large, complex, multi-million-dollar solution sales.
  • Experience working with telecom vendors and ecosystem partners.

Industry & Technical Expertise

Proven experience selling:

  • Mobile Core solutions (EPC, 4G Core, 5G Core)
  • Core signaling solutions (SS7, Diameter, SIGTRAN)
  • Signaling routing platforms
  • Mobile core security solutions (firewalls, anti-fraud, signaling security)

Strong technical understanding of:

  • 3G/4G/5G architecture
  • 5G network functions: SEPP, SCP, BSF, NRF
  • IMS networks
  • Signaling protocols (SS7, Diameter, DSC, STP)

Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both executive and engineering audiences.

Languages

  • Fluent Spanish (required)
  • Fluent Portuguese (required)
  • Professional working proficiency in English (required)
