Position Summary

The Corporate Director of Business Development leads and executes strategic growth initiatives across multiple psychiatric hospital locations. This role is responsible for driving census, strengthening referral networks, expanding market presence, and aligning business development strategies with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership & Growth
• Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy across all facilities
• Identify market opportunities, service line expansion, and new program development based on community needs
• Analyze industry trends, competitor activity, and performance metrics to guide decision-making
• Referral Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key referral sources including hospitals, providers, payors, and community organizations
• Create targeted outreach strategies to increase admissions and improve referral pipelines
• Team Leadership
• Lead, coach, and develop regional and local business development teams
• Establish accountability metrics and monitor performance outcomes across teams
• Marketing & Performance Analytics
• Oversee marketing initiatives and ROI tracking
• Develop KPIs and reporting structures to measure effectiveness of growth strategies
• Community Engagement
• Represent the organization in the community through events, partnerships, and educational outreach
• Ensure alignment between brand messaging and service offerings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 5+ years of progressive experience in healthcare business development (psychiatric or behavioral health strongly preferred)
• Multi-site or regional leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of psychiatric and substance use treatment services
• Proven ability to drive census growth and build referral networks
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills

Additional Requirements

• Ability to travel regularly between facilities
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare regulations
